Syteview™ - Progress Database Server

The version of Progress database server required by Syteview depends on the features that you intend to use.  Syteview makes use of two programs, DataGrabbers and DataLinks to keep tables in your Progress database synchronized with matching tables in your Microsoft SQL Server.

The DataLink programs use Progress table triggers to replicate changes from your Progress tables into the SQL Server and can be used by any current Progress version.   The DataGrabber programs use an ODBC connection to copy entire tables from your Progress database to the SQL Server and requires a version of Progress that supports ODBC connections, which means Progress Version 9.1B or greater.

Note: There are third party ODBC drivers compatible with earlier versions of Progress that can be used, but we have not extensively tested any of these programs and cannot guarantee their reliability.
