Syteview™ - Distributed Data Collection

Syteview gives you the tools you need to merge data from multiple Progress database servers into one or more Microsoft SQL Servers.  In either batch update or real-time mode, changes made on each of the Progress database servers can be replicated into any number of destination SQL Servers using Syteview's DataLink programs.

Using any network protocol or data media capable of transferring small text files representing records created, modified or deleted on your Progress servers, from FTP to SOAP to NetBIOS over TCP/IP or even tape cartridges the DataLink programs will move data from your Progress database servers into your SQL Servers while keeping a full transaction history all changes made.  Each text file is time-stamped to allow the DataLink programs to resolve conflicting updates and each of the DataLink programs come with full source code (Visual Basic) allowing you to customize the replication process.

Straight out of the box you get DataLink programs configured to handle many of your existing Syteline™ tables.  You also get a program that will assist you in creating new DataLink programs, complete with source code, from any other tables in your Progress databases.  With Syteview's DataLink programs you get the flexibility you need to design your distributed data network your way.
